About Devakee Rahalkar
Based in Mumbai with her furry and hairy family,
Devakee is a mother to a grumpy 6-year-old indie pup and a 4-year-old human
toddler who identifies as a golden retriever stereotype.
When she manages to steal a quiet moment, Devakee can
be found tinkering with DIY projects or curled up with a comforting romance
novel. An alumna of IIM Kozhikode, she spent over a decade as a management
consultant, crafting strategy narratives and business stories before turning
her focus to storytelling of a more soulful kind.
Passionate about giving our local indigenous dogs the spotlight they deserve, Devakee is excited to tell a tale that captures their grit, grace, and the love they inspire in humans. Deeply moved by Nivedita and her family’s journey, Devakee considers it both an honour and a responsibility to tell their story with the care it deserves. She hopes that Nila’s tale continues to inspire more love, empathy, and respect for these amazing indies who share our streets as well as our stories.
